Before you begin
You must register the emission even if:
- it was completely silent;
- there was no detectable smell;
- nobody else was present;
- you were outdoors;
- you believe nobody noticed;
- you immediately left the area;
- a dog was nearby;
- you consider the event insignificant.
The legal reporting obligation concerns the occurrence of the emission, not its social importance.
Knowingly providing false information, concealing an emission or falsely attributing an emission to another person or animal may result in additional penalties.
